As a lover of all things spaghetti, I decided I HAD to try out a cropckpot meal that my Grandma Dottie used to make for us. It's filling, delicious and SUPER easy!
Crockpot Chicken Spaghetti
Cook Time:
Cook time will depend on how you set your crockpot. If set on high, 4-5 hours. If set on low, 7-8 hours.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
2 cans of cream of chicken
1/2 cup diced onion
1 box of spaghetti (cooked and drained)
1 can of Rotel diced tomatoes with diced green chilis
2 cups Fiesta style shredded cheese
1/4 cup of chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Place chicken breasts into crockpot
- Salt and pepper chicken to desired amount
- Mix chicken broth, cream of chicken, and can of Rotel in separate bowl and add to crockpot
- Turn crockpot to LOW for 7-8 hours or on HIGH for 4-5 hours
- Take chicken out to shred once cooked (meat has turn white throughout) and then stir shredded chicken with rest of crockpot contents
- Cook spaghetti in separate pot, drain
- Add drained spaghetti to crockpot mixture
- Add 1 cup of shredded cheese to crockpot, stir
- Wait until last 30min.- hour of cook time to add second cup of shredded cheese then stir again
- ENJOY!
This would be a great meal for fall! It brings back great memories from my childhood, so it's almost like a comfort food for me. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
