While we have been pretty fortunate in North Dakota as far as winter temperatures, we haven't seen much in the way of sunshine. If you and your kids are suffering from cabin fever, and they're driving you up the wall because it's not nice enough to play outside, how about playing an educational online game that teaches them about agriculture?
My American Farm is a special project of the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture (AFBFA) and made possible through its title sponsor, Corteva Agriscience.
Players who visit the My American Farm site learn where food comes from and how those products get from the farm to their dinner table through a variety of games. The site contains games for pre-K children all the way to fifth graders. There are games that include geography, math, English, health and science to help with developmental skills, as well as all the ways agriculture is important to our lives.
In addition to games there are a variety of fun activity sheets as well. The site even has a Tips for Healthy Families page that contains kid-friendly recipes.
So don't let the weather get you down. Cure your family's cabin fever and help your kids learn at the same time by playing My American Farm.
