Puppy Chow!
Who doesn't love this delicious, messy treat? Only the people who haven't tried it! While it goes by other names -- Muddy Buddies, Monkey Munch or Reindeer Chow, to name a few -- this is a perfect addition to your holiday dessert menu because it is simple and very customizable, depending on your tastes. Just do an Internet search for Puppy Chow and you will be met with a plethora of variations that will keep you chowing for days!!!
Here is the base recipe:
Puppy Chow
Ingredients
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup salted butter
1 12-oz. box Chex cereal (corn, rice, Crispxwhatever your preference)
2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and salted butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds; stir, then microwave for 30 seconds more. Stir until smooth.
Add cereal to a large bowl. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal; stir gently until cereal is thoroughly coated. Let cool slightly.
Place coated cereal and powdered sugar to a large resealable plastic bag. Seal bag, and shake until cereal is coated.
