Mealtime at the Robisons

Mealtime at the Robisons

by Haley Robison

As cattle ranchers, we obviously enjoy eating beef. It has great flavor (personally my favorite protein) and is affordable! Not only that but beef also contains 10 essential nutrients needed in our diets! It also contains 23 grams of protein per 3 ounce serving. Why not have beef every day?

Below is a quick and easy recipe for stir-fry that can be thrown together in about 20 minutes! It’s a favorite at our house! It’s such a fresh meal that is packed full of veggies, rice, and beef! Our toddler even enjoys it!

Beef Stir-Fry

1 lb of either Top Round Steak, Top Sirloin Steak, or Flank Steak
1 bag of mixed frozen veggies (or buy fresh veggies)
1 bag of Ben’s Ready Instant Rice (our favorite is long grain wild rice)
1/2 cup of Stir-Fry Sauce (we prefer teriyaki sauce)
1 T soy sauce
2 T olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Cut beef into strips.
2. Brown beef in pan with olive oil.
3. Remove beef from pan and add in veggies, olive oil, soy sauce, and 1/4 cup stir fry sauce.
4. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes.
5. Cook the ready rice in microwave
6. Once all ingredients are ready, mix everything into one pan.
7. Add remaining stir-fry sauce and soy sauce.
8. Cook on med-low for another 3-5 minutes.
9. Enjoy!!

I love seeing a colorful plated meal that is packed full of nutrient dense beef!
