OYT in Times Square

National Non-Profit Day

OYT in Times Square

On Your Table will be part of a National Nonprofit Day (NND) Times Square billboard campaign this Friday, August 17.

National Nonprofit Day honors all the people, organizations and volunteers who bring selfless goodness to the underserved every day. On Your Table, a project of NDFB that is designed to help people cut through the clutter of information regarding food safety and health, will be featured at the Crossroads in Times Square.

Numerous nonprofits will be featured on Friday to spread awareness for Nonprofit Day, using the most iconic and visible billboards in the world right in the heart of Times Square. Under the direction of Five Tier, a Manhattan based company tasked with managing much of the content on billboards worldwide, National Nonprofit Day and its participants will be presented to hundreds of thousands of Times Square visitors throughout the day.

“We spend the majority of our lives helping big brands sell their wares,” said TJ Allan of Five Tier. “Our team felt it was important to begin giving back to those who work so hard to make the world a better place. Creating this program levels the playing field for organizations with limited marketing budgets to stand side by side with the bigger players of the world.”

"We have a great story to tell about modern agriculture," said Dawn Smith-Pfeifer, editor for OYT. "By helping people better understand where their food comes from and having a chance toget to know the farmers and ranchers who produce that food and ask them questions, we hope to create better connections and better understanding of the wonderful, abundant, healthy and nutritious food we have available to us in this country."

The On Your Table ads are 15 seconds in length and two ads will play simultaneously 75 times throughout the day.

"It's an exciting opportunity and we hope people will see the ads and check out the information on OYT so they can feel more confident about the food they are feeding their families," Smith-Pfeifer said.
