On New Year’s Day we have the tradition in my house of having a “fancy dinner.” That’s dinner on the China, drinking from glass flutes, and talking about our favorite things from the year prior.

Most of our highlights also made the blogs this year and we found that talking about what happened this past year together helps jog the memory. We hear a lot of “that’s right” and “oh yeah!”s as we talk through our yearly adventures.

I enjoyed the time we spent in the garden and the pool this summer.

Hubby’s favorite memory was staying at Meadowlark Beef for a fantastic night this summer.

Miss E liked all of our adventures. Miss A echoed this sentiment saying her favorite was EVERYTHING except the trip to Dickinson to make sure Miss E’s head was okay.

As we roll into the next year, remember to look back and see all of the things you enjoyed and accomplished during the past year. It helps to get your mind right and have a more grateful heart when thinking of all the good things.

Happy New Year!!
