Bacon lovers unite! It's October and that means it's pork month. And although pork is a lot more than bacon, well.....Bacon.

In celebration of all things pork, we thought we'd share a few fun bacon and pork facts.

According to pork.org, today's pork is "16 percent lener and 27 percent lower in saturated fat than compared to 26 years ago."

Furthermore, there are eight cuts of pork that meet USDA guidelines for "lean" meat. (Lean means it contains less than 10 grams of fat, 4.5 grams of saturated fat and 95 milligrams of cholesterol per 100 grams of meat.)
