Creamy tomato pork sausage hotdish
1 box of noodles
2 lbs pork sausage (here I used some ground and some breakfast sausage)
1 large can of diced tomatoes
½ onion diced
1 Tbsp garlic
½ green pepper diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup chicken broth
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Homemade heavy cream
- 1 stick butter
- ½ c – 3/4 cup milk (depending how thick you like it)
Boil noodles as directed. In another pan, fry the sausage. Then add the remaining ingredients except the parsley and heavy cream. Cook until heated through. Drain your noodles. Add 1 Tbsp. butter over drained noodles so they don’t stick. Set aside.
Add the heavy cream to your sausage mixture. Simmer and heat through but be careful not to boil. Combine the noodles and the sausage mixture, top with fresh chopped parsley.
Enjoy! I like to top mine with yum yum sauce and hot sauce.
