“How can we help?”
A simple sentence that brought a surge of grateful emotions when I was asked.
How can people help agriculture?
In my opinion,
Think critically.
Extend grace.
The world is filled with more gray than we will ever see black and white. Situations are incredibly complex and often much more than meets the eye.
For every action, there is a reaction. Sure, we could adjust our practices, but along with that comes a ripple effect. It’s never as simple as it appears.
So if you could,
Think critically when you read headlines.
Think critically when you hear sensational details.
Think critically when you see situations.
And please, give grace.
Most people, an overwhelming majority, are doing the best they can with what they have.
Often, our limiting factors require extremely long-term solutions.
Food comes from families. Thank you for standing with our families.
Thank you for supporting agriculture.
