I’m still a proud American

I’m still proud to be an American! Regardless of all our flaws, as a nation, we’re still the best place on earth. America was never designed to guarantee outcomes, but certainly was founded on a promise of opportunity. The beauty of our system, compared to any other in the world, is the continuous refinements built into our Constitution, which allow our society to adapt to changing societal demands. We were founded by visionaries who could foresee changes in societal or cultural practices, and even identified several shortcomings of their time; and they were brilliant enough to develop a system which could evolve to fit the improvements needed in our society.
