Collegiate Farm Bureau
NDFB is serious about input on the future of agriculture policy, especially from the younger generation of future agriculture industry leaders. That’s why Collegiate Farm Bureau was formed. Collegiate Farm Bureau is an organization comprised of students who have an interest in agriculture, policy development, and current events affecting North Dakota. There are collegiate groups at Dickinson State University and North Dakota State University.
The Collegiate Farm Bureau (CFB) receives the same kinds of opportunities as county Farm Bureaus are afforded, including: support from NDFB field staff, access to quality agricultural industry speakers, access to membership benefits and the ability to generate and offer agriculture policy positions at the NDFB State Annual Meeting. If CFB policy is passed at the annual meeting, it will be included in state policy books and national issues will be passed on to the American Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting for consideration. CFB dues are $10 per year.
NDSU Collegate FB Discussion Meet competitor Aryel Smith represented NDFB at the American Farm Bureau Federation's YF&R Discussion Meet competition in Kansas City in February 2016.
