NDFB Day at the Capitol

NDFB's Day at the Capitol will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude with a legislative social at Stonehome Brewing. In addition, a special event will be held for NDFB student members relating to job opportunities at the Capitol.

Agenda:

8:50 a.m.: Arrive at Capitol and meet on the ground floor.

9:00 a.m.: Committee Hearings. Attend House and Senate hearings and other committees that will be hearing legislation pertinent to NDFB.

10:00 a.m.: Committee Work Continued or Historical Tour of the Capitol. The tour group meets at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall at the Information Desk.

11:00 a.m.: Lunch at The Capitol Café, compliments of NDFB. This is an opportunity to visit with your legislators.

12:00 p.m.: Tour of legislative process and chambers. The tour will cover the legislative process and both chambers. For those sitting with legislators, the tour will finish in time to be seated on the floor.

1:00 p.m.: House and Senate Floor Sessions. We have limited floor seats available, so let your field rep know if you would like to sit with a legislator. You must arrive fifteen minutes early to be seated on the Senate or House floor. Unlimited balcony seating is available.

3:00 p.m.: Historical Tour of the Capitol. A tour of the Capitol, history, and architecture.

5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.: Legislative Social at Stonehome Brewing. 1601 N 12th St. Bismarck. Enjoy refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation with your legislator.
