Farmers and ranchers would face burdensome federal regulatory control if provisions of a restrictive Senate water bill make it through the “lame duck” session of Congress, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation.
Chris Voigt, executive director of the Washington State Potato Commission, is three weeks into a “potatoes-only” diet to remind consumers about the nutritional value of the potato. “I want to show the world that the potato is so healthy, that you could live off them alone for an extended period of time, without any negative impact to your health,” Voight wrote on the 20 Potatoes a Day website.
