Precision agriculture technologies are used by more than 50 percent of U.S. farmers and ranchers. GPS and auto-steer guidance systems are two types of precision agriculture used to increase crop yields, lower cost and reduce chemical use. That ALL benefits the environemnt.
GPS and auto-steer work togheter to help farmers identify percisely where to plant seeds, and apply persticides and fertilizer in the exact amounts needed.
GPS technology used by farmers is more precise than what is available to consumers. Accuracy of farm GPS technology is usually within inches.
