Art contest winners announced

Topic: Events

Bismarck, N.D. – NDFB is thrilled to announce the winners of its "Farmers of Tomorrow" art contest, a highlight of NDFB Week, taking place March 10-16, 2024. The contest aimed to foster creativity and highlight the importance of agriculture in our communities, encouraging young minds to visualize themselves as future farmers.

Participants were invited to create portraits of themselves as future farmers, depicting their vision of farming attire, surrounded by the crops or animals they aspire to cultivate in the future. The submissions were judged on two categories: creativity and artistic composition.

“From drones and robots to agriculture on the moon, these young artists impressed us with their imagination and artistic abilities,” said Lisa Hauf, NDFB Director of Public Relations.

After careful consideration, four winners were chosen, with two winners selected from each grade category. Each winner will receive a prize of $50. The winners of the "Farmers of Tomorrow" art contest are:

4th Grade:

  • Molly Woodbury of McKenzie, N.D. for artistic composition
  • Adlyn Neumiller of Washburn, N.D. for creativity

5th Grade:

  • Reese Neva of Bismarck, N.D. for artistic composition
  • Addison Heuchert of Cavalier, N.D. for creativity

The "Farmers of Tomorrow" art contest is part of NDFB Week, which celebrates the agricultural contributions of county Farm Bureaus across the state. This year's NDFB Week theme, "Cultivate Your Future: Nurturing Growth, Sowing Innovation," underscores the significance of cultivating a sustainable and innovative future in agriculture.

Throughout NDFB Week, various county Farm Bureau events are taking place to celebrate and engage with the community, including ag trivia and meat bundle giveaways.
