Building character

Where has this summer gone? It seems like it was only a month ago calving was in full swing and preparations were being made for spring planting. I don’t think there is a single part of the state that has enjoyed ideal conditions this year.

Everyone is dealing with different problems but issues this growing season have been plentiful. I take pride in the fact that no matter how insurmountable the circumstances, farmers and ranchers do a pretty darn good job of taking everything in stride and making the best of whatever situations are thrown at them.
