Exploring ag in the city

Topic: Education

by Lisa Hauf, NDFB Director of Public Relations

Summertime in North Dakota is short-lived. The months fly by, and the days are getting shorter. The other night, as I was lying in bed, completely worn out yet enjoying a few moments of a quiet house, I began to think about why my exhaustion is at an all-time high. I hadn’t had one day at home in over 18 days. When not at work, I have either been at soccer, hockey or camping with the family. But I reminded myself, these are my choices, and I honestly wouldn’t trade them for the world.

This past weekend, I took my three children to Fargo so my oldest son could attend a defensive hockey camp. My oldest has a love for hockey and thrives to defend the goal and help out his goalie; so when this camp popped up, I was excited to change up our days of camping and head to Fargo. I had planned way too many things for us to do while we were there, but I wanted to see friends and show my children all the fun stuff NDFB is a part of in the city.
