Four collegiate members to compete

Bismarck, N.D. – NDFB is excited to announce the names of the four finalists who have advanced to the final stage of the NDFB Collegiate Discussion Meet. These promising young leaders will compete for the championship on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 5:15 p.m. at the Bismarck Hotel and Convention Center in Bismarck.

The four finalists are:

Sydney Ellingson, representing DSU

Paul Hanebutt, representing DSU

Alex Huber, representing NDSU

Samual Green, representing NDSU

The NDFB Collegiate Discussion Meet offers a unique opportunity for individuals to engage in constructive discussions on important agricultural topics, similar to actual committee meetings.

Participants share their ideas and information on a specific agricultural issue, demonstrating their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. This experience allows them to develop essential discussion skills, gain a deeper understanding of agricultural topics, and explore the value of collaborative knowledge sharing in reaching consensus and solving problems. 

The NDFB Collegiate Discussion Meet winner will represent North Dakota at the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) FUSION Conference in Denver, Colorado, scheduled for March 7-10, 2025.
