BISMARCK, ND – In accordance with a directive from President Barack Obama, Governor Jack Dalrymple today directed all state government agencies and encouraged all North Dakotans to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff from sunrise until sunset tomorrow, Friday, August 31, as a mark of respect for the memory of Neil Armstrong, the American astronaut who became the first to walk on the moon.

Armstrong passed away last Saturday at the age of 82. A private memorial service will be held in his honor Friday in Cincinnati.
