Kidder County Farm Bureau Announces Beef Passport Winner

Topic:

One of the best ways to spur conversation and ideas is around the dinner table. So when Kidder County Farm Bureau was working on a way to tell people about their organization, they decided to “beef up” the message by promoting themselves and their local restaurants with a Beef Passport.

How? The county’s six participating restaurants gave patrons a beef passport booklet which included each restaurant’s name and location. After finishing a beef meal (of their choice) at each of the listed restaurants, the booklet was stamped by the restaurant. Why beef? It was an easy commodity to use and many local ranchers raise beef.

Completed passports were turned in to one of the restaurants by the due date and the patron’s name was included in a drawing at Kidder County Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting which was held in September. First place was a $300 beef bundle and the second-place prize was a 2023 Kidder County Farm Bureau membership which includes many money saving benefits and supports North Dakota agriculture.

Also pictured is Heidi Lindner from Harvester Café, the restaurant that received the majority of the completed passports.

Kidder County Farm Bureau extends a thank you to everyone who participated and to its local restaurants:  Legacy Bar & Grill, Harvester Café, Carol’s Kitchen, Wolff’s Grill & Bar, Roadhouse, and Steele Vets Club.

The mission of NDFB is to enhance the livelihood of all North Dakota individuals, families and communities by advocating for agriculture, our state’s largest, most important economic sector. Their goal is to create a better future consistent with our purpose, our vision, and supported by our core principles of individual freedoms and initiatives, self-reliance, independence, and hard work.
