Morton County Ag Day

Topic: Events

By Toby Olin, Morton County Farm Bureau Board member

I’m so proud to be a part of the Morton County Ag Day. It’s an event that has been taking place since the early 1970s and aside from bad weather forcing a cancelation and last year with Covid restrictions, we would be celebrating 50 years of hands-on agricultural education with children from our surrounding area. It’s just such a great feeling to help with an event that has had such a positive impact on so many kids over the years, going back to when I would have been one of the little kids.

s a Morton County Farm Bureau Board member, I see all the planning and preparation that go into an event of this scale.  Some of our board members have been involved for quite a while and they are familiar with the general set-up, but with a location change this year and other parts and pieces that change yearly, it could be overwhelming, but we’re fortunate all the years of experience help the whole event come together and run like clockwork.
