NDFB Foundation receives sizeable donation
Topic: Leadership
The NDFB Foundation was chosen by this year’s Country Woman of the Year, Heather Lang, to receive $2,500 to go toward its scholarship fund.
Lang is NDFB’s Promotion and Education Committee District 7 representative. She also serves on the American Farm Bureau P&E Committee.
“I am so happy for Heather because I see how many hours she spends advocating for agriculture and it's wonderful to see her recognized with such an amazing award for all she does,” said Joey Bailey, NDFB’s Director of Organizational Development.
Lang received $2,500 in cash and a $2,500 donation in her name to an agricultural organization of her choice. Lang chose the NDFB Foundation scholarship fund to receive the donation.
“The P&E Committee oversees the scholarship program and we are so thankful for the donation,” said Bailey. “Last year, we awarded eight students with $1,000 scholarships.”
NDFB’s scholarships are for both high school and college-aged students. The scholarship forms will be available in December and are awarded in May. You can visit ndfb.org/edusafe/scholarships for more information.
If you are interested in donating money to the scholarship fund, please write a check to the NDFB Foundation and in the memo include "scholarships." The check can be mailed to:
