NDFB photo contest winners announced

NDFB’s Promotion and Education Committee announced the winners of its 2020 NDFB agriculture photo contest.
 
The first place winner is Katherine Plessner of Verona, N.D. Her winning photo is of an old man’s hands holding a corn cob.

“Plessner was able to capture an image that speaks volumes to families who have spent generations on a farm,” said Joey Bailey, NDFB’s Director of Organization Development.
 
This year, the NDFB P&E Committee had 108 photo entries to judge from.
 
“The committee was tasked with a difficult decision,” said Bailey. “North Dakota provides an array of opportunities for photos and the contestants were able to capture moments and bring agriculture to life through each photo.”
 
Plessner will receive $300 and her photo will be sold as a canvas print during the NDFB P&E online auction in November of 2020. Proceeds will go toward the NDFB scholarship program.
 
The second-place winner is Tom Krebs of Dickinson, N.D. and he will receive $200. The third-place winner is Donna Opoien of Pekin, N.D. and she will receive $100.
