NDFB scholarship auction now live

Topic: Events

BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Scholarship Auction is online now until noon on November 23, 2020.

Every spring, over $8,000 in scholarships are offered to students preparing for college and undergraduates majoring in agriculture. The scholarships are made possible through generous contributions made to the NDFB Foundation through the auction. Typically, a live auction is held during the NDFB Annual Meeting, which is the main source of income for the scholarships. Due to COVID-19 the auction has been moved to an online format.

“Our live auction has always been a fun and rewarding event that brings in a large amount of money for our scholarships,” said NDFB’s Director of Organizational Development Joey Bailey. “This year, we had to change things up and move everything online. We have never tried anything like this before, but we are hoping the online auction is a great success.”

Pifer’s Auction and Realty has generously agreed to host the auction on their website at www.pifers.com.

Scholarships offered include one for students pursuing an agriculture major, students currently enrolled in an agriculture college, a Farm Bureau family member scholarship, and the Becki Palmer Scholarship for all high school seniors whose parents are members.

To donate to the scholarship fund, please send your tax-deductible contribution to the NDFB Foundation, PO Box 2064, Fargo, N.D., 58107. Please indicate you would like your gift to go to the scholarship fund.

Scholarship applications will be available in December at www.ndfb.org/edusafe. The applications are due in the NDFB office in Fargo no later than March 15, 2021.
