New post on My NDFB Life

Topic: Events

By NDFB Southwest Field Rep, Haley Robison

A cold, wet and dreary day won’t stop farmers and ranchers from having fun. In fact, it’s the perfect weather for getting them together during harvest! On September 7, farmers and ranchers from southwest North Dakota gathered in Medora for the annual Young Farmer and Rancher Round Up. We were excited for another opportunity to gather together for food, fun and networking.

Attendees ranged from experienced board members, to non-members attending their first NDFB event, to young families with kids. The evening started out with some socializing followed by a taco bar for supper. Then the real entertainment began – Ag Olympics!

We had 10 two-person teams compete in five events: Dummy Roping, Egg Race, Square Bale Toss, Hungry Hungry Hippo and finally the Wheelbarrow Race.
