No fooling. Our food is safer
Recent figures from the Center for Disease Control show that our food is getting safer. Dr. Richard Raymond, a former Undersecretary for Food Safety at the Agriculture Department, told American Farm Bureau Federation's Newsline he’s puzzled why they’re so cautious about spreading this good news.
“You should be able to stand on top of the building and say ‘Hey look, the industry is doing a great job, and consumers are doing a great job of listening to the safe handling and proper cooking messages that are out there,’” Raymond said.
