Thoughts from the field

Topic: Leadership

By Becca Hennessy, NDFB Northwest Field Representative

As a field representative for NDFB, I get to travel often. Some people may think that is the worst part of the job, but to me it is one of the many perks of my job. Once I get out on the road, it gives me a chance to clear my head and really think about what I can do for the counties in the northwest area of the state. I spend a lot of my time in the car, so that is usually where my planning starts and ends.

Most of my traveling consists of trips to county or state meetings, various events, farm visits, Special Assignment Pizza with students, Route 1000 classes and more. However, the end of summer and early fall is filled with Nodak agent visits in the northwest area of the state. This has become one of my favorite activities.
