‘Tis the season for developing policy and advocating for ag

As we are wrapping up county annual meeting season, I have had the opportunity to visit with many farmers and ranchers around the state. Everyone seems to be in a good spirits. Harvest is well underway with good yields and the ranchers are busy hauling an abundant crop of hay home.

This year has seemed busier than normal, and I keep telling myself it is because we are blessed with more work in the form of more feed for our animals. After a historic drought, all I feel is relief from the extra work.
