Created: 12/22/16 (Thu) | Topic: Leadership

Craig and Kelly Vaughn of Cavalier have been appointed to the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Committee. The couple will serve a two-year term on the committee.
The couple served on the North Dakota Farm Bureau (NDFB) YF&R committee from 2014 to 2017 and Craig was chair of the committee in 2016. Craig ranches and farms with his dad and brother and Kelly is a dental hygienist. They have one child and another one on the way.
“Craig and Kelly’s passion for agriculture is second to none,” said NDFB Director of Leadership Development Joey Tigges. “I’ve known them for several years and they continue to impress me with their drive to make agriculture better in North Dakota.”
The AFBF YF&R Committee is comprised of 16 positions representing all regions of the U.S. An individual or couple may hold each committee appointment. Committee members are responsible for program planning, which includes the coordination of YF&R competitive events during AFBF’s Annual Convention each January and the Harvest for All program.
National committee members are nominated by their respective state Farm Bureaus. To learn more about the National YF&R Committee, click here.
