We owe them a debt we cannot repay

Today is the eleventh day of the eleventh month, and at the eleventh hour of this day, way back in 1918, the First World War officially came to an end. At that time, it had been called The Great War, and the War to End All Wars, but the name changed with World War II.

Since that famous day 104 years ago, it seems hardly a year has passed without a war or military conflict somewhere in the world. Certainly, that has been the case since WW II, and in many of these conflicts Americans have served to protect freedom, our way of life, and the lives of countless non-Americans.
