Woodward Farm brings home cooking to you

Topic: Education

by Lisa Hauf, NDFB Public Releations Director

The smell of cinnamon, sugar and apples filled the air as I walked into the kitchen at Woodward Farm. Apples pies were in the oven. Homemade buns were ready for the hamburgers, leaving the smell of bread lingering in the air.

Brenda Gorseth is the owner of Woodward Farm, named after the township she lives in. She specializes in processed products such as jams, relishes, and salsas, and does catering and custom baking. All products are made using North Dakota/Minnesota produce with no preservatives and are gluten free.

Brenda’s memories of cooking start with her grandma. “There were six of us kids and my mom needed help because apparently we were a handful,” said Brenda. “My grandma would come out every day and teach us how to make pies and teach us how to cook. My mom would make rolls and was a good cook too.”

From Christmas cookies to homemade bread, no job is too small or large. Her products are perfect for Christmas get-togethers and make an excellent Christmas gift. Many of her products can be found in every major city of North Dakota, except Grand Forks, or can be purchased directly by visiting her Facebook page. Brenda is part of NDFB’s Farmhouse Treasures for You, an NDFB member-to-member direct marketing guide. Check it out at www.ndfb.org/ benefits.
