Public Policy Director

Location: Bismarck, N.D.| Job Type: Full-Time

North Dakota Farm Bureau (NDFB) is seeking a dynamic, principled leader to serve as Public Policy Director. This individual will lead NDFB’s policy development, implementation, and legislative advocacy efforts, representing the interests of North Dakota’s farmers, ranchers, and rural communities at the state and national levels.

The Public Policy Director will assist with policy development, oversee legislative engagement, and serve as NDFB’s key representative with elected officials, agencies, and partner organizations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong communication and relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of agricultural policy, and a passion for advancing the principles of integrity, personal responsibility, and individual freedom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead policy development and legislative advocacy efforts
     
  • Represent NDFB at the State Capitol throughout the North Dakota Legislative Session
     
  • Build relationships with policymakers and agricultural partners
     
  • Educate and engage members on key policy issues
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Agriculture, or related field
     
  • Experience in legislative affairs or policy advocacy
     
  • Strong understanding of agriculture and rural issues
