NDSU Collegiate FB Discussion Meet

The NDSU Collegiate Farm Bureau Discussion Meet is now open to all student members of NDFB, who are between 18 and 24. The top two participants in the meet will go on to compete at the NDFB Annual Meeting, Nov. 17, at 5:15 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Fargo.

The Discussion Meet is a competition designed to simulate a committee meeting where discussion and active participation are expected from each participant. The competition is evaluated on an exchange of ideas and information on a pre-determined topic. Participants build basic discussion skills, develop a keen understanding of important agricultural issues, and explore how groups can pool knowledge to reach consensus and solve problems.

The winner of the NDFB Collegiate Farm Bureau Discussion Meet will go on to compete at the collegiate nationals in Omaha, Nebraska, March 8-11, 2024.
