Be an informed voter on November 3.

NDFB is encouraging a YES vote on Measure 1. 

NDFB policy is set by its members. Since 2021, voting delegates at the NDFB Annual Meeting have adopted and reaffirmed policy calling for a higher threshold to amend the state constitution, and Measure 1 would establish that requirement.

NDFB currently has no position on Measure 2.

NDFB's public policy team has developed the following informational papers on the two ballot measures.

Measure 1

Constitutional Measure No. 1 (House Concurrent Resolution 3003) raises the voter-approval threshold for any constitutional amendment. Read more

Measure 2

Constitutional Measure No. 2 is a citizen-initiated amendment adding a new section to Article VIII of the North Dakota Constitution requiring all public school districts, public schools, and public charter schools to provide one free breakfast and one free lunch every school day to all enrolled students at no cost to students or families. Read more
